Public holidays in Fuerteventura 2026 and 2027 – island and municipalities

Fuerteventura observes the Spanish and Canarian public holidays, plus the island holiday of Nuestra Señora de la Peña (September 17, 2027). In addition, each of the six municipalities – Puerto del Rosario, La Oliva, Pájara, Tuineje, Antigua and Betancuria – has two local holidays of its own, for example Carnival Tuesday in Puerto del Rosario or the Fiestas Juradas in Tuineje. On public holidays many shops, supermarkets and public offices are closed; restaurants and beach bars are usually open.
