Die Veranstaltung zeigt die historischen Ereignisse vom 10. Oktober 1740 nach, als englische Korsaren in Tarajalejo landeten und das Schiff »La Balandra de José Antonio« überfielen, das zuvor auf dem Strand gestrandet war. Nach der Plünderung setzten sie das Schiff in Brand. Diese Schlacht war ein Vorspiel zur Schlacht von Cuchillete drei Tage später, an der auch die Bewohner von Tarajalejo beteiligt waren.
